“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit itself (Himself) maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”  (Romans 8:26)

Here Paul describes how the Holy Spirit makes life in our bodies.  The word “helpeth” means to “take hold together with, against”

The Word is saying that the Spirit will take hold together with us and fight against our infirmities.

The word “infirmities” means sickness, disease, and weaknesses.

The Holy Spirit will make LIFE, to work against the sicknesses, diseases and weaknesses that plague our bodies, if WE take hold together with Him.

He will make health, instead of sickness, strength instead of weakness, and life instead of death.

But we must do our part!  How do we do this? We do this by abiding in His Word.

In John 8:31-32 Jesus said to those who believe; “. . . If  ye continue in my word than you are my disciples indeed.  And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Now according to John 14:17 the Holy Spirit IS the "Spirit of Truth."

Therefore we can conclude that the Spirit of truth, will make us FREE from sickness and disease if we take hold together with Him through His Word.

"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come." (John 16:13)
The Spirit of God will guide us in the affairs of our lives if we let Him. It doesn't matter what we do, or where we go, if we are willing and obedient to His guidance, we will eat the good and the best of the land.

"But God COMMANDETH His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

The word "COMMANDETH" here means; "to place together, to set in the same place,to bring or band together to stand with (or near).

Think about it, while we were still sinners, meaning having no faith or behavior to require His love, God brought us near to Him through Christ

When dealing with the enemy trying to block your progress, you and I are to take on the WHOLE armor of God, and having done everything we know to do, make our stand.
Become fixed, immovable. Establish your authority in possessing your promised land!
Don't run. Don't complain, Don't accuse. Don't quit. Don't give up...STAND!

HIS LOVE EMPOWERS YOUR FAITH TO OVERCOME

“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us, God is love. And he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him."
(1 John: 4:15-16)

Let’s take a look at that again. The Word of God says, "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us." This is an important statement that John made. "We have known and believed."

Unfortunately in a lot of Christian circles, the Church has misrepresented Gods love. Through wrong thinking and believing we have demanded ungodly, unscriptural beliefs from the world and from each other. We hinder people from coming home, because of how they look, behave or where they come from.

In fact if they haven’t demonstrated that they are like us, then we doubt their value or worth. As a result the world is running from the Church instead of running to her.

We need to be helping people know the love of God, so they can believe in Him. We need to be telling people the good news. We need to be saying;

“HEY YOU BELONG HERE!”

Even if you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you still belong here, because Jesus has already died for you. You may not know it but God truly loves you and has great plans for your life. We love and value you, and you belong to this family, I don’t care who you are, or what you have done, or what has been done to you, you belong here.

The way that you can experience Gods love, is through faith in Jesus Christ. That’s it. Just believe that He died for your sin. You are worth every drop of blood that He shed. You are Gods child and He spared no expense in rescuing you. You are now free to come home!

Now that’s demonstrating love. You see they first experience His love through us. They experience value, they experience worth through us. This opens the door for them to believe on Jesus Christ.

Now that is what John is communicating here in 1 John 4:15-16. He put his faith in Jesus Christ, because He has known and believed the love.

The word “known” here means; to learn, come to know intimately, get a knowledge of, to perceive, to feel.

He was saying here that he came to know God’s love so intimately that he could literally feel God’s love. He just didn’t have a head knowledge of the love; he actively experienced an interaction with God’s love.

He said, we’ve known and believed the love. Through actively experiencing this love, faith was formed and he believed in this love as well!

To believe means you trust. Do you trust God? Or do you trust something or someone else?

There was a time in my life where I had to choose. I was experiencing a time of loss and failure. I was so devastated that I could barely function. One night the pain of this came to a head, and as I laid there looking at my clock, I wanted to die. I wanted the pain to stop. I couldn’t handle it any longer.

But something rose up in me, and challenged that thought of ending it. I literally felt a nudge in my heart; I heard the words “I LOVE YOU!” I remember thinking, “I either curse God and die, or choose Him.”

Before this moment in my life, I was a part of a Church family that ministered intensely on God’s love for me. I had been through Bible College, and ministry training, and experienced faith victories in my life. Yet what I didn’t know or perceive was the Fathers love for me.

My Pastor at the time introduced God as a loving Father to me and it impacted my life forever.

I praise God that my Pastor got a hold of and experienced Gods love. And for six years He ministered that to me.

He imparted the Fathers love to me weekly. There were times though that I challenged him because he would call God "Daddy", and it irritated me.  God was not a Daddy to me.

Through his faithfulness, he literally introduced me to the heart of the Father. He demonstrated how to have an intimate experiential relationship with Him, and His love. And through the process of time, I too, began calling God, Daddy as well.

That is what Jesus Christ has done for us. He demonstrated and introduced the world to a God of love, a Father, a Daddy, Who passionately and intensely loves us.

Because I knew and experienced  His love for me, through the power of the Holy Spirit, I was able to rise up in faith and turn from that oppressive darkness, and turn towards my loving Father.

The experience of knowing Gods love personally, fueled my faith in Him, and empowered me to yield to the presence and help of His Holy Spirit that night.

I literally rolled away from death, and turned towards His loving arms of embrace. I turned towards His love, His healing, His comfort, and His strength.

He brought me out of that rabbit hole, and over the next several months I experienced what it meant to dwell in His love.

That is what knowing and experiencing His love does. It empowers your faith in Him.  He wants you to experience His love so powerfully, that it literally fuels your faith to overcome!

YOU ARE BLESSED!
If it went from good to bad, then it can go from bad to good. If it can be seen in this natural world then it is subject to change. What can you see in your heart?
"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
(2 Corinthians 4:18)

For you to experience the fire of His Spirit, you need to know His love. We need to know God the way Jesus knew Him. He had faith in His Fathers love for Him. We need that same faith in God as our loving Father as well.

KNOWING HIS LOVE EXPERIENCING HIS FIRE

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” (Matthew 3:11)

“MY PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW MY HEART!”

That’s what I heard the Lord say to me one day just before a service. He said, “Yes the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire is for them today but, if they don’t know who I am, if my children don’t know how to love Me with all their heart, soul and strength and then love their neighbor as themselves, they won’t be able to live with this fire. They won’t be able to live in this ‘Light’ clothing that I have for them.”

The fire of the Holy Spirit is literally the clothing of power and protection that God has for his children to live in this world.

Without this baptism of His Holy Spirit and fire, we are powerless.

In Romans 13:10,12 we read: “Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”

Notice the Word of God tells us that when you LOVE, you fulfill the LAW. You now have the power to cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of Light.

The fire that God has for you, the blessing of the Holy Ghost, is available to those who know LOVE!

This is where the Life of God is at. Knowing Him! Knowing His Spirit of LOVE and FIRE!

If you think that God is this distant personality, and doesn’t really care about the intimate details of your life, you will never get close enough to Him to experience His passionate love and blessing.

If you only see God as a God of judgment, you will never be able to relate to Him, much less receive the baptism of His Holy Spirit and fire. You will be isolated and alone in this darkness.

When Adam messed up in the Garden, did he run to God? No.  It is recorded that he hid from God. Why?

Adam was clothed in this Holy Ghost and Fire. He had the light of Gods clothing covering him and empowering him to live victoriously in this life. When he sinned, the Bible says his eyes were opened, and he saw that he was naked. He was now without the fire, the light, the power of God. He saw his own weakness. He saw his inadequacy, his inability to reign as the King that God created him to be in this earth.

Now Adam still had a choice. He could have repented, run to His Father and asked for help. But because he listened to the words of Satan, he now had a wrong perception of his Father. He became so self centered that he tried to cover himself with the weak and meagerly elements of this world.

Even though God revealed His heart by running to him, Adam still hid. And that’s what a lot of people are doing nowadays. They are caught in a cycle of pain, they mess up, they screw up; they know it, and they run from God and they run from Church.

As a result of running from God and running from the Church; they stay in their pain, they stay in their cycle of defeat. They stay out there, going to the wrong comforts, going to the wrong places, looking for help and power that never satisfies.

They do this because of their perception of God, and their perception of their own weakness.

The whole time God is running towards them, loving them, trying to help them, heal them, and empower them to overcome.

I know some people that will not read the Old Testament because all they see in the Old Testament is a God that judges people, and a God that curses people, but that is not Who the Father is!

When we turn to Jesus we begin seeing Who the Father is. Jesus studied the same Old Testament that the Pharisees’ did, and where the Pharisees’ got law, Jesus got LOVE, and He lived in the fire and light of Gods Spirit.

For you to experience the fire of His Spirit, you need to know His love. We need to know God the way Jesus knew Him. He had faith in His Fathers love for Him. We need that same faith in God as our loving Father as well. (To be continued)

YOU ARE BLESSED

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.  (John 15:9)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
ONLY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST CAN SAVE YOU
There is nothing that our Father cannot do. If you believe Him, you will receive!

“How do you form faith for the impossible? The answer is found in a small mustard seed which must be planted in the soil of our heart. The Word planted, watered and nurtured, grows into something that can be harvested, first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear."

He who is of a greedy spirit stirs up strife, but he who puts his trust in the Lord shall be enriched and blessed.  (Proverbs 28:25 AMP)

Strife is the number one tool Satan uses to block Gods blessing in your life.

"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;  And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us,..."  (Ephesians 5:1-2)

THE PRAYER OF FAITH (PART 3)

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed Him, crying and saying, “Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.” And He was come into the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus saith unto them, “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” They said unto Him “Yea, Lord.” Then touched He their eyes saying “ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH be it unto you.” And their eyes were opened;--” (Matthew 9:27-30)

To pray the “Prayer of Faith” then, we need to do what the two blind men did. These men sought the Lord for their healing.

The unfortunate fact is some people sit around waiting for God to do something more for them. I want you to notice that the two blind men did not just sit and wait for Jesus to walk over to them and do something. NO! They went to Him.

The Word of God says that when WE draw near to Him, He WILL draw near to us. We must make the first step!

These men also stayed with it. They didn’t quit until they made that connection. They were persistent in seeking the Lord until they were engaged by Him.

Secondly you must understand that just getting in the presence of God does not guarantee that you will experience your need being met. I have been in services where the presence and the power of the Lord was present to heal, and people were getting delivered right and left, yet there were some that did not receive anything at all.

What happen? This is where some people get confused. “If God was present why didn’t I get anything”?

I want you to notice something here, when these two blind men came into the house and were in the presence of Jesus, nothing happened until Jesus finally asked “Do you believe, or do you have faith in Me to do this?”

They could have received their healing before this, but Jesus in His mercy finally helped them along by asking them that question. That’s just like our Lord. He will meet us where we are at and ask us the right question to nudge us and help us in our unbelief.

When they both agreed saying “Yes Lord we do believe,” healing came. It wasn’t until they believed that something happened.

You see the people in these meetings that didn’t receive anything, were not operating in faith. They took the first step by seeking the Lord, yet they did not believe that the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

That’s what these two blind men needed to believe, that He would heal them!

Jesus said in Matthew 21:22 “And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and (really) believing, YOU WILL RECEIVE.”

The prayer of faith not only believes that God can, but that He HAS done what He said He would do. When you begin to believe His Word, when you begin to understand His will, when you are in faith, that is the time to receive what you’re asking!

When we approach our Father we should approach Him in faith. Believing that He not only can, but that He will do for us what He said He would do. We must approach Him based on His Word, not our circumstance or problems.

Find out what He has already said in His Word. Build a strong foundation on that Word, on the rock of Jesus Christ. Approach your Father, believing Him, and start receiving all that that He has given you TODAY!

YOU ARE BLESSED

THE PRAYER OF FAITH (PART 2)

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." (1 John 5:14-15)

1 John 5:14 says that when we ask according to His will, HE HEARS US, and if He hears us, then we know WE HAVE what we asked for.

What is the will of God? His will is His Word! His will is reconciliation. Confident faith comes when you know Him, and His will. (His Word)

In 1 Samuel 3:21 we read; “And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of the Lord.”

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ literally becomes your Shiloh place. It is here in our Shiloh place that God reveals Himself and His will to us. He does this through, and by His Word.

I want to encourage you today to run to Him, spend time with Him, find out what His will is, find out what He is saying to you through His Word.

Jesus made the way for you and I to be able to come back home to our Father. By seeking Him, and His Word you & I will begin developing a loving relationship with Him, that will begin forming faith in our hearts.

Now, once faith is formed in you, you will have the confidence you need to pray to our loving Father, and expect results.

Listen, He wants you, His very own child, to be confident in His ability to answer your prayer. He desires to meet your need. When you develop your faith through spending time with Him, and His Word, you will be able to pray with confidence, knowing that what you asked for will be given to you.

Let me give you an illustration.  God has said in His Word, that He has already healed you (1 Peter 2:24). When you gain the revelation knowledge of this by spending time with Him in Shiloh, then you will have the confidence, or faith you need to approach Him for your healing.

You will have gained the knowledge of His will concerning healing, and will be ready to receive from Him.  You now know, that your healing has already been given, and now YOU are ready to receive it.

Faith pleases God. (Hebrews 11:6)  Faith pleases God, because this is how we are able to experience what He has given us!  We experience His will in our lives through our FAITH. Paul made it clear in the book of Romans that a man is not justified by the works of the Law, but rather by and through FAITH. (Romans 3:28)  (to be continued )

YOU ARE BLESSED

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. (James 3:14-16)

THE PRAYER OF FAITH

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraided not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”  (James 1:5-7'0

James 1:6 says that when we pray to God we must pray in FAITH. You see there is a chance of praying out of faith. When we pray out of faith, we have a hard time receiving what we’ve asked for from the Lord. So praying in faith is the way that God established for you and I to receive from Him.

Simply put;
THE PRAYER OF FAITH BRINGS RESULTS.

The prayer of faith is, and must be based on God’s Word. As we approach God in prayer, we must be in faith. To be in faith, means to have a firm belief system that is founded and rooted in God’s Word.

Too many people are approaching God without knowing His will about their situation.

How do we find out Gods will? By finding out what He has already said. You see Gods Word is His expressed will in written form.

The reason many have no knowledge of Gods will is because they have no knowledge of His Word.

Romans 10:17 tells us “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Faith begins to come to us through hearing something. Its starts with hearing what God has said. Taking Gods written Word, the Bible, and speaking it out will begin the process of forming faith. But that is not where it ends.

The word “word” here in this passage of scripture is the Greek word “Rhema” which literally means the “spoken word”.

To be able to have a true knowledge of Gods Word we must be able to hear what God is saying to us personally. In order for us to hear Him speaking to us, we must have a relationship with Him. You see it is through a relationship with God that we begin to understand the heart of what He is saying through His Word.

In Ephesians 1:17 we read where Paul prayed that God would grant you and I a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

It is after we begin knowing Him personally, and hearing Him speak to us, that we will begin to understand and know His will.

Paul went on to pray in Ephesians 1:18 that once we know Him, that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened, we would begin knowing the hope of His calling, the riches of His glory, His inheritance, and the power He has available for us who believe!

There it is: “FOR US WHO BELIEVE”! Your see to believe is to have faith. Faith comes through knowing the Father and His Word! (to be continued)
