WHO ARE YOU?

Through my experience as a minister I understand a major problem in the world today.  It is the question of identity.  Christians and non Christians alike are experiencing an identity crises in some form or another. 

WE DON'T KNOW WHO WE REALLY ARE!

In Genesis 1:27 God addresses the issue of identity. 

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

We are made in His likeness and in His image. He tells us here that the human race is His offspring, His children. 

1 John 3:1-2 tells us that God has called and named us sons, or children of God, and declares that this is not something we will attain, but it is who we are now! 

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God,..."

So to answer the question of identity, is to understand that we are Gods Children.  This is our family. He is our true Father. We come from Him, and we belong to Him. 

When we begin to identify with Him as our Father through our Lord Jesus Christ, the anxiety and question of identity is fulfilled. 

PEACE & PROSPERITY

"Oh, that you had harkened to My commandments! Then your PEACE and PROSPERITY would have been like a flowing river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea" (Isaiah 48:18)

The promise of our Father is this, if we become a doer of the Word of God, and continue standing on that ground; we will have peace and prosperity. The Lord declares here, that we will have PEACE, when we are acting on His Word. The only way this peace comes is by making the commitment to WALKING IN ALL His ways.

This peace, that comes by being committed to acting on the Word, will guard you, and keep you, and is the fuel you need to see you through to FREEDOM! You see it is the peace of God that passes all natural understanding, and enables us to gain the wisdom we need to PUSH FORWARD through the storms of life and succeed. We begin BREAKING OUT of the bonds of sin, sickness, depression and lack and begin having good success by acting on the eternal Word of God.

The first step towards pushing forward and breaking out of this world system of death and defeat is to accept the truth of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for you and I.

By confessing Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and believing that God has raised Him from the dead, is acting on what Romans 10:9-10 has said. You literally break out of being bound by sin, and are liberated into becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Your old spiritual and moral condition passes away or becomes dead, nonexistent, and behold ALL things become new! A fresh and new you arrives on the scene. You literally become a new creation! You are now free to walk in all the ways of the Lord, and begin experiencing true LIFE!

So take courage, and step out of that prison of defeat and death, begin experiencing a life of peace and prosperity by listening and obeying the Word of God today!

FINDING YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE

"No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." (John 1:18)

Here in John we see where Jesus is in the bosom of the Father, and through that relationship, Jesus now reveals the Father and makes Him known.

God has ordained that a child is to know their Father. He/she is to know him intimately and personally. A child is to be so close to their Father, that they find safety, comfort, strength, and wisdom from him.

Through this natural relationship, God prepares our hearts for the kind of relationship He desires to have with us.

Satan has attacked this relationship since the Garden of Eden. Separating children from their fathers is an on going battle.  It is designed to hinder our relationship with God.

In Ephesians 1:17-18 there is a prayer for us , Through this prayer we see Father Gods plan for the intense relationship He desires to have with you and I.

"[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,

By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),"

First, our Fathers plan is for you and I to have a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the close, personal, and intimate knowledge of Him.

Through knowing Him intimately and establishing this relationship with Him, we will then come to know and fulfill our purpose in life.

Through His relationship with His Father, Jesus was able to reveal and make Him known to the world.

In finding your purpose in life, you must first know God as your Father, to know Him personally through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Secondly, through this experiential relationship, you will find your unique way of  revealing Him to the world.

These walls of false beliefs keep us in prison, separating us from experiencing the supernatural life and love that God has provided for his children.

Only God through Jesus Christ can destroy these strongholds, heal our wounds, and open those prison doors.
